About the Project

This illustration is inspired by Tenpa Putul, a traditional clay doll form from Bengal. Rooted in Bengali cultural imagination, the artwork presents Goddess Durga as a mother and Lord Shiva as the father, surrounded by their children—Lakshmi, Saraswati, Ganesha, and Kartikeya. Reflecting the familial bond often evoked during Durga Puja, this piece reimagines the divine as a joyful household, blending folk aesthetics with warm storytelling.
